Therefore, this is an unintended consequence of the process of genetic engineering, which entails putting artificially created genes from different species into organisms like corn and soy. It will not come off with water. Monsanto portrayed RoundUp as a risk-free herbicide when marketing the product to consumers. As it turns out, it's a carcinogen of the Class 2A variety. You definitely don't want to put something like that in your body. And it's getting saturated with the genetically modified organisms that we end up consuming. If a product contains a lot of soy or a lot of canola, such as soybean oil or corn oil or high fructose corn syrup or soy lecithin, and if the product does not specify that it is non-GMO or organic, you can presume that it is genetically altered. This is especially true if the manufacturer does not declare it is. That is a major deal. Therefore, if you are out there buying or shopping, you should know that you can do it at any store, even health food stores. It is significantly better now, but even as recently as five years ago, some health food stores sold products that contained maize in their inventory. You need to look for the non-GMO label or the certified organic label that is on something; but, when you're reading on even things that call themselves natural, folks need to look and see if there is corn when they're buying these granola-type bars at your local supermarket. Canola oil, soybean oil, or any of the other items mentioned above, if the label does not specifically state that they are non-GMO certified organic, there is an extremely high probability that they have been genetically engineered. Therefore, you should avoid these major ones at all costs.
